With its long, beautiful beach and great collection of hotels and Son Bou villas, this resort is one of the most popular in Menorca, and understandably so. Part of the reason for this popularity amongst tourists is the broad appeal that Son Bou has. The natural attractions of the beach itself are complimented by the delights of the surrounding area, and the well developed resort facilities have everything that you could ask for from a holiday destination. From families looking for a break in the sun to hikers after a great walking holiday, Son Bou has something for everyone – here are four kinds of people who are likely to enjoy a visit to Son Bou.
Families
The resort is ideal for families. The calm waters are excellent for children, and the resort complex at San Jaime has a huge number of activities to help keep the kids entertained, including a maze, waterchute, and several children’s playgrounds. The big beach at Son Bou is good for more than just swimming and sunbathing – it offers plenty of chances for active adventure as well. The still waters make it unsuitable for surfers, but the good winds mean that windsurfing is extremely popular here, with equipment available to rent as well as lessons for complete beginners. There are also opportunities for pedalo and jet ski hire, or you can even go horse riding along the length of the beach.
